I can’t believe our baby girl is finally here. It all happened so fast. While it took me a little time to decide on how I wanted her nursery to look, one piece always inspired me. The watercolor painting from the Rifle Paper Company became our inspiration piece.
Being a huge lover of all things blue, I couldn’t see making her room to pink. So a soft dusty blue, ivory and a little pop of light pink sounded perfect. I had originally wanted to go all out with a travel theme but a few travel touches seamed to work best.
This sweet girl has so many stuffed animals already. There are even more hidden away in the attic. Her little suitcase animal toy chest just wouldn’t hold anymore.
My mom and I spent an evening working on this floral mobile for her. It wasn’t the most simple project but I adore how it turned out. I’ve caught her staring at it a few times but I’m not sure she can fully see it yet since newborns don’t really see very far at first. I can imagine that she loves it though.
I also worked up a little swag for her dresser with the leftover flowers from the mobile. It brought a little color pop to that side of her room.
Daddy spent a Saturday building Caroline a custom closet for all of her cute little clothes and accessories. We are supposed to have doors on the closet BUT I can’t see covering up all of her cute little things just yet. So for now, this is the look.
Thought travel themes nursery wasn’t as strong of a look as I was planning on, this little pin board marks all of Caroline’s travels. From Colorado to North Caroline to Virginia and New Jersey; this sweet girl has already traveled quite a bit. I can’t wait to start adding more DIY post cards to her board.
