Jess and Lee eloped at the Westmoreland County Courthouse on a Friday and decided to have an intimate family picnic party reception the following day at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg to kick off their honeymoon.
I had no idea the Courthouse in Greensburg was this lovely!
Did I mention that their Westmoreland County Courthouse Wedding took place on national donut day? Well you can’t have a wedding on National Donut Day without a donut or two.
This sweet couple wanted to enjoy their family and friends without the stress of planning and setting up a reception the next day so they hired us to create the floral arrangements and transform a park pavilion into their dream Laurel Highlands picnic BBQ. Welcome to Jess & Lee’s picnic “I do” BBQ.
Upon entering the picnic reception, guest were greeted with chalkboard signs listing menu items and picnic baskets for outdoor picnic essentials including bug repellant and silverware.
We chose to use a variety of fresh spring flowers including anemones, peonies, and hydrangeas in the floral arrangements. The reception tables were lined with navy tablecloths and decorated with doilies that skirted the white pitchers full of blue and white hydrangea and eucalyptus arrangements. Milk bottles with dainty blue delphinium in them also lined the tops of the tables to bring some sweet scented flower detail to the picnic party.
You can’t have a reception without a head-table or in their case a sweetheart table.
Family created a lovely cake, dainty cupcakes and delectable cookies. Yum!
Jess & Lee,
Thank you so much for letting up be a part of your wedding day and reception. I loved helping bring your wedding flowers and BBQ dreams to life. Cheers to many years!!
Hugs!
